Former Champs Marcham & McIntosh Pace Outlaw Non-Wing Feature at Shootout

TULSA, Okla. (January 4, 2020) – The front row of the 2020 Outlaw Non-Wing main event at the Tulsa Shootout features a pair of Golden Driller winners. Pitting two Oklahoma’s against each other, the Tulsa crowd will see Trey Marcham of Oklahoma City and Cannon McIntosh of Bixby bring the 24-car field to the green flag in the 30-lap ONW finale.

Earning high point man honors via a 6th-to-1st heat race win and a 4th-to-2nd qualifier bid, Trey Marcham garnered 228 points to assume the top spot entering Saturday’s show. No stranger to triumphing on Championship Saturday, Marcham’s most iconic Shootout moment came in 2015; when the Oklahoma City racer swept both the Stock Non-Wing and Outlaw Non-Wing features back-to-back. Tonight, he’ll chase a third Golden Driller from the pole position.

Starting to Marcham’s right on the outside pole will be Cannon McIntosh, the 17-year midget racing standout from down the road in Bixby. Entering qualifiers as the early high point man after an 8th-to-1st heat race, the teenager then went 4th-to-3rd which was good enough to give the No. 51 a total of 226 points. He’s already got a Jr. Sprint Golden Driller sitting at home, now McIntosh will pursue an Outlaw Non-Wing victory before tackling the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals with Keith Kunz Motorsports.

A pair of gassers make up the second row of the Outlaw Non-Wing feature with Johnny Boland of Fort Worth, TX and Kyle Spence of Bear, DE starting third and fourth. Both drivers have had recent success at the Shootout while wingless, Boland recording a top five result and Spence scoring the 2019 Stock Non-Wing title.

Before going from the pole in Winged Outlaw, Tommy Kunsman will start ONW from the fifth slot with Tulsa veteran Jeffrey Newell to his outside. Oklahoman’s Connor Lee and Brady Bacon assume row four, while past champions Ben Worth and Chris Andrews take row five.

Rounding out the bunch of 16 locked-in drivers in the Outlaw Non-Wing feature is Jason McDougal (11th), Kris Carroll (12th), Daison Pursley (13th), Gage Robb (14th), Dylan Kadous (15th) and Jake Andreotti (16th).
